Our soap is made the same way it has been for centuries, using the cold-process method. Plant oils meet lye, an alkaline sodium compound. (Ancient soapmakers would create using wood ash.)
As the mixture comes together, it begins to shift through saponification, the slow and alchemical change that hardens oils into true soap.

After the oils, pigments, and lye come together, the soap rests and cures for several weeks. This unrushed stage strengthens the bar, increases its mildness, and allows it to retain the naturally formed glycerin that helps the skin stay balanced. Because cold-process soap builds these qualities during saponification, there’s no need for added fillers to replace what gets lost in faster production methods.
